Donuts and Discounts - Celebrate 1st Day Back to School!

I’m not saying the first day of school deserves a celebration… but I am saying we’ll be open early with free donuts, coffee, and discounts.
We’re having a little celebration on Tuesday 9/01 called ‘Donuts & Discounts’ and I have to tell you where the idea came from because it makes me laugh.
Every single year, when my kids would go back to school, I had the exact same feeling you do. It's not that I was excited for my kids to leave the house (okay... maybe just a tiny bit). It's that I finally felt like life got back into a regular routine.
I'm definitely a Type A person, and I love a schedule. I love knowing what the day looks like. I love not having to figure out how to entertain kids for twelve hours straight while still trying to get work done.
By the time school started, I always felt like I crossed the finish line of a marathon. And one year I thought...we really should celebrate this.
We're celebrating all the moms who somehow made it through another summer with their sanity mostly intact.
Whether your summer was filled with sports practices, camps, daycare, road trips, grandparents, snacks every fifteen minutes, or just hearing "Mom!" approximately 6,000 times... you made it. So this little morning is for you.
On Tuesday, September 1st, we’re opening early, putting together a coffee and juice bar, bringing in donuts from Blackbird Bakery, and inviting YOU to stop by before the rest of the day gets filled with errands, work, or chores.
Stop by after school drop-off. Come by yourself if everyone is finally back in class. And honestly, even if your kids are all grown up (like mine), but you’ll be awake and needing coffee...come grab breakfast, walk around for a few minutes, and hang out with us.
And yes...because we couldn't help ourselves, we also came up with a really fun discount game while you're here.
Tuesday, September 1st
8:30 am - 10 am
Donuts, Coffee, Juice, & Discounts will all be had and then we’ll just slide ourselves into our normal business hours.
For real we can’t wait to see you there. If you’re anything like me, write this down on a sticky note and put it on the dash of your car so when you leave the car drop-off line you remember to come.
I mean, who’s kidding. Even though my kids are now adults and I've finally learned how to sleep in again, I will also be setting an alarm bright and early!
